The TARI in Romans d'Isonzo

From 1 January 2018 Isontina Ambiente manages the municipal tax on waste (Tari) on behalf of the Municipality of Romans d'Isonzo with the "tariffa puntuale" method.

The introduction of this new method rewards virtuous taxpayers who carefully separate their waste and takes into account how much the residual dry waste collection service is used.

Each taxpayer is associated with a bin equipped with a microchip that uniquely identifies it; the bin code is recorded by the collection operators at each bin emptying.

In order to prevent non-virtuous behaviours and the abandonment of waste, each taxpayer is charged a minimum number of emptyings per year (minimum delivery threshold) regarded as consistent with consumption habits and based on the numbers of family members. This number is applied even if waste is not thrown away or the bin is not collected.

This tax must be paid by anyone who owns or holds, in any capacity, even de facto, premises and uncovered areas located in the municipal territory, for any intended use that might produce waste.

Calculation method

The rules for the application of this new tax are derived from the regulation of the waste tax (Iuc - Tari part), approved by the Town Council with Resolution No. 10/2014 and following amendments, by DPR 27/4/1999 No. 158 and can be found on the website of the Municipality of Romans d'Isonzo.

The rate was determined by the municipality of Romans d'Isonzo with the resolution of the Town Council No. 11 of 28/02/2018

When to pay

In the current year the Municipality of Romans d'Isonzo has provided for the payment of the Tari all at once or in instalments with expiry dates on 31/8/2020 and 5/132/2020

In particular situations an adjustment will be issued (terminations, takeovers, new users after the issue of bills, etc.)

Where and how to pay

This tax can only be paid through the F24 form at all post offices or bank branches, through home banking services (internet) or at tobacconists belonging to the ITB bank circuit. These methods, that are now mandatory for the payment of taxes and duties, do not involve any extra fees for the taxpayer and allow users to immediately offset any tax credits deriving from the tax return presented in 2017 (form 730/2017 or Unico 2017).

RATES

Annual rate

The rate for home users is proportioned to the floor space and the number of residents. For the residents of Romans d'Isonzo, the data of the municipal registry are taken into account.

The rate for non-domestic users is proportionate to the floor space and type of activity performed.

Daily rate

The daily rate, applied to users who temporarily (*) occupy, with or without authorization, buildings or public areas of public use, or areas subject to public right of way, is calculated on the basis the square meters of occupied area and for the days of occupation; it is determined on the basis of the annual rate of the tax, calculated per day and increased by a percentage equal to 100%.

(*) Temporary use means less than 183 days per year, not necessarily consecutive.
